The Main Fire Station at Fort Carson is a ground-up, 17,500-SF Design/Build for the US Army Corps of Engineers. The building consolidates the resources of two fire stations into one consists of 5 new high apparatus bays, 15 dorm rooms, office space, and supporting functions for the 24-hour manned fire station.
The building consists of a structural steel frame with deep pier foundations, standing seam metal roof, and brick veneer.
The complete site package also involved the construction of parking lots, landscaping, and utilities.
The Main Fire Station includes a 15 person dormitory similar to that which would be found in the ORTC.
