The C-17 Maintenance Hangar is a Design/Build Maintenance Hangar built for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angles District located in Riverside, CA. Phase I includes the demolition of existing structures and construction of a high bay hangar. The facility is used to perform isochronal inspections and maintenance on C-17 Globemasters III Cargo and Troop Transports. The maintenance hangar meets LEED Silver Certification Requirements. Administrative, communication, electrical, and mechanical rooms are included in the design.
Notably, Bryan Construction’s outstanding performance on Phase I led to the sole-sourcing of Phase II. Phase II is an industrial maintenance shop facility supporting an existing hangar used for aircraft washing, “spot” painting and composite repair for the C-17 Globemaster III Cargo and Troop Transport Aircraft. Other related activities include: disassembling, repair, assembling and testing of aircraft components. Supporting activities include offices, mechanical, electrical and storage.
